We have another couple of hires to announce for next month and as always thanks for all the support as we build our company through good times and bad. As such I am delighted to have him on board as we enter the next phase for Phlo. And with our company about to go through a growth phase, I needed someone at a senior level to support me and accelerate the growth of the company. Adam is firstly a friend who I met on the Saltire Fellowship and secondly is an immensely talented individual across a number of areas. Secondly, Adam Hunter joined us at the start of January as Chief Commercial Officer. This mix of skills is essential to Phlo as we build the Pharmacy of the future and I’m so happy to have met someone of Chandni’s mindsight and qualities. Chandni has a brilliant background as a Pharmacist and is also currently studying for a MsC in Healthcare & Design at Imperial College London. We welcomed Chandni Umradia who is based in our London office as UX Designer/Pharmacist in November. We are finally getting to the launch stage of Phlo and hope to be live for a testing phase in London very soon.īut to make that happen, we need the very best people, so I'm delighted to announce some recent additions to the team at Phlo as we push forward in 2019. For those out of reach from the London or Birmingham hubs, the registered NHS pharmacy also offers a UK-wide mail order service with 24-hour and 48-hour delivery. The one thing I've learnt about building a company is that it takes time, patience, money and really fantastic people that buy into the vision of what you are building. The service first launched in London in early 2020, and enabled repeat and acute prescriptions to be ordered via the Phlo app, for speedy delivery. Since we launched in early 2020, we have seen a significant increase in our patient numbers, highlighting the need for a service like Phlo.” Supported Streaming Devices: Roku, Amazon Fire, Chromecast, Apple TV and select smart TVs ( Full list) For 25 per month, a Philo subscription provides access to more than 70 popular broadcast and cable channels. Naila Dad, chief pharmacy officer for Phlo, added: “At Phlo, we’re proud to be combining technology with outstanding patient care to offer our patients the pharmacy experience they deserve. Being able to manage prescriptions via an app will save users time as prescriptions are sent directly from GPs to Phlo via the Electronic Prescription Service. A live map makes the process fully trackable. The solution allows patients to chose their delivery location which means prescriptions can be sent anywhere within the same-day delivery zone, whether it’s work or home. We look forward to engaging with the people of Birmingham, ensuring that our service makes their lives easier by removing the hassle and stress of managing their prescriptions.” Our pharmacy is based in the heart of Birmingham employing local pharmacy staff and courier drivers. Nadeem Sarwar, founder and CEO of Phlo Digital Pharmacy, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have launched Phlo’s same-day pharmacy service in Birmingham, offering patients an easier, more convenient and, above all, safe way to manage their prescriptions. The service will also lead to better out-of-hours care for acute medical scenarios where timely access to medication is vital. It aims to tackle the issue of prescription wastage, adherence and access to medication and supports the NHS Long Term Plan for local pharmacies to provide services. The company is part of the Digital Health London Accelerator Programme’s 2021 cohort. Phlo digital pharmacy will be providing Birmingham residents with the facility to request prescriptions with a 4-hour, same-day delivery time slot and also gives regular updates and live tracking for a convenient pharmacy experience.
